RAIL VEHICLES DIVISION

The Rail Vehicle division of Knorr-Bremse in Spain is represented by KNORR-BREMSE ESPAÑA, S.A., based in Getafe, Madrid, with the following structure:

Knorr-Bremse España, S.A. - Division of Brake Systems is the leading company in the Spanish market, and with Spanish influence, for the supply of brake and automatic access IFE door systems for all rail vehicle segments, as well as WESTINGHOUSE platform doors.

Knorr-Bremse España, S.A. - Division HVAC (Merak) - is the Competence Centre of the Group, involved in the design, manufacture and marketing of climate control systems intended exclusively for rail vehicles throughout the whole world, having its own subsidiaries in North America and China. It is a company that uses Spanish technology, being an international leader in its industry, and one which has fitted out very high speed trains in Spain, France, Korea, China and soon Russia ( a system that will have to work at extreme ambient temperatures of -50º C to +50º C), including the most important underground railways in the world (all the Spanish ones, New York, Washington, Chicago, Río, Sao Paulo, Paris, Lisbon, Hong Kong, Singapore, Shanghai, Guangzhou, etc.), trams and all types of rail vehicles.

COMMERCIAL VEHICLES DIVISION

The Commercial Vehicles division of Knorr-Bremse in Spain is represented by the company Knorr-Bremse Ibérica, S.L.U, based in San Fernando de Henares, Madrid, and Irún, Guipuzcoa.
