Knorr-Bremse and Berkelium Group establish joint venture for the development and production of organic brake pads and brake shoes.
On 3rd. May, 2010, a joint venture was agreed between Knorr-Bremse subsidiary Sociedad Española de Frenos, C.y S., S.A. (currently Knorr-Bremse España, S.A.- Brakes Division- based in Getafe, Madrid (Spain) and Icer Brakes, a member of the Spanish Berkelium Group.
Under the name ICER RAIL S.L., the company develops and produces organic brake shoes for rail vehicles.
In 2016, Knorr-Bremse adquired Icer Rail, S.L. in its entirety.
