  • 1950 Frenos signs license agreement with Knorr-Bremse.
  • 1970 Knorr-Bremse acquires 30% of Frenos.
  • 1975 Knorr-Bremse acquires up to 55% of Frenos.
  • 1990 Knorr-Bremse increases its shareholding to 70%.
  • 1999 Knorr-Bremse becomes sole proprietor of Frenos.
  • 2008 Opening of Knorr-Bremse Technological Centre in Getafe, which includes its two Spanish subsidiaries from the railway divisions: Frenos and Merak.. (more)
